
For pedestrians the Park is within easy reach of several
housing areas and is about 1.75km (1 mile) east of the pier along the Seafront.
The Railway Station is in Eastbourne's Town Centre and regular train services
connect with Brighton, Hastings and London seven days a week. The easiest
route to the Park when on foot is Terminus Road, as this will take you to the
Seafront, the distance is approximately 2.75km (1.75 miles).
Stagecoach
run the buses that serve the roads around Eastbourne and the Park and there are
frequent buses connecting with rail services in the Town Centre. The
buses you could catch from the Town Centre are the 99 (every 20 minutes) that
travels along the Seafront and has a stop by Fort Fun, the 5a (every 30
minutes) or the Loop (every 12 to 15 minutes). The 5a and Loop services
both stop at the Sovereign Centre.
During the season (usually Easter until the end of September) the Dotto Trains
run the whole length of the Seafront. There are numerous stopping points
including the Pier and adjacent to Princes Park. There are timtables
posted at each stop along the route.
Arriving by car from the North visitors should follow the A22 then turn left onto
the A2290 and head towards Eastbourne Seafront, this will take you to the big
roundabout near the Sovereign Centre. A right turn here will take you
onto Royal Parade with Princes Park Cricket Ground immediately on your right.
There is a large pay and display car park on the left by Fort Fun, although
there is on street parking in the vacinity.
Motorists arriving from the Brighton or Hastings areas are likely to use the
A259 and, once in town, should head for the Seafront east of the Pier.
